Behavioral Connect

About us

Why Behavioral Connect

We are a small, BCBA-owned private practice dedicated to providing high-quality, individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. Our focus is quality over quantity, ensuring every learner receives thoughtful, compassionate, and effective support.

We offer direct 1:1 ABA therapy tailored to each child’s unique needs, while also integrating small-group social skills opportunities to promote meaningful social learning, peer interaction, and real-world skill development.

Our commitment is simple: personalized care, evidence-based practices, and lasting progress for every learner and family we serve.

ABOUT ABA

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach that focuses on understanding and modifying behavior through the scientific study of how people learn. ABA is not a curriculum, nor is it a one-size-fits-all model.

Here, we are committed to teaching meaningful, functional skills without diminishing the individuality of our learners. We view ABA as a toolbox filled with evidence-based strategies that can be tailored to each person’s unique needs, supporting growth and enhancing overall quality of life.

Meet the Founder

Behavioral Connect was founded in 2023 by Vanessa Orozco, BCBA, LBA. Vanessa was first introduced to Behavior Analysis in 2013 when a loved one was diagnosed with autism and referred to an ABA clinic for services. She describes the years that followed as transformative, inspiring her to join the field as an RBT in 2019.

Vanessa has worked with children ages 2–18 across a wide range of abilities and strongly believes that equitable, individualized teaching is essential for meaningful learning. She became a BCBA in 2022 after earning a Master of Arts in Behavior Analysis Practice from the Florida Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Texas A&M–Central Texas.

A native of Southern California, Vanessa has lived in Central Texas for the past 19 years with her husband of 22 years, their two children, and the family dogs. Her favorite pastimes include meditation, professional networking, and traveling.

Our new clinic is located at 106 E FM 2410 Rd. Suite 1 Harker Heights, TX 76548 (next door to Papa Johns Pizza)
